In Formula 1, fuel is mostly seen as a logo.

From 2026, new Formula 1 fuel regulations made fuel a critical performance factor, yet Shell’s engineering work with Scuderia Ferrari rarely enters public awareness.

Fuel engineering is built on trial, balance, and fine margins.
But because this work happens in unfamiliar spaces,
its complexity rarely translates beyond the sport.

So we translated the fuel work using contexts locals already understand.

Getting teh tarik right is about feel, not formulas.
So is engineering race fuel.

This film uses a process locals know well to express the trial and fine margins behind Shell’s fuel development.

Tamiya model cars are tuned through trial, adjustment, and constant testing.

Each change only proves itself once the car runs.
This film mirrors how Shell tests race fuel, not in isolation, but through how it performs inside the car.

After translating fuel engineering through familiar processes, we returned to the source.

This film features
Shell’s lead fuel scientist, grounding the work in the real people responsible for developing and testing race fuel behind the scenes.
